Karan: By-pass Protocol Signed

- We have managed to sign the By-pass Protocol which means that  the funding of the implementation  of the second stage of By-pass project is ensured  -  announced Darko Karan Mayor Deputy.
- On behalf of Zrenjanin City the Protocol was signed by the Mayor, Ivan Bošnjak, M.Sc. and on behalf of the company "Putevi Srbije" Zoran Drobnjak. The Protocol value is 775 million dinars, out of which the City shall invest 75 million dinars into project documentation and land expropriation. The good thing is that finally the funding was ensured, and the Government of Serbia, will, through Public Company Putevi Srbije  finance this project while the beginning of the project will depend on us. As planned and agreed before that three building sites will be opened at the beginning of building season, starting from 15 April the next year. One building site will be the section of Mihajlovo road to Prvomajska Street, the second a bridge construction and the third one an overpass – explained Karan stating that actually the signing of the Protocol  solved long-lasting financial problems.
- Many local governments wanted the similar contract but we have succeeded, after a hundred days of government. And this is the result of team work and success of coalition so I believe all citizens will be satisfied since one of the key infrastructure problems will be solved, which will result in  directing of heavy vehicles our of the City's streets – said he on.
Also Karan added that many Zrenjanin construction companies would benefit from this project since  domestic  contractors would be engaged.
